Vertical Tasting Pinot Noir
Aug 21 2010 - Aug 21 2010
Vertical Tasting Pinot Noir

A vertical tasting is when you taste one varietal, in this case it will be Pinot Noir, only.  We start with the current vintage, 2008, and work our way back though our museum wines, going back to the 1994 Pinot Noir.  We compare seasons and the affect that each season has had on the wines.  It is a very interesting exercise and will help you to understand this most elegant, complex grape, Pinot Noir.

Date:    Saturday,  21st August 2010

Time:  1:30 – 3:00

Taste old vintage Pinot Noirs from our museum stock.   What a treat.   Some will be excellent, some will have aged with grace and some not so gracefully. Let’s find out! We’ll taste Pinot Noir starting with our current vintage and working our way back to 1995. It will help you to understand the nuances and unpredictability of this complicated and intriguing grape.

Bob will lead a wine options game – always fun.
